Efficiency in handling and storage of project cargo

Since 1978, we have been the main port operator for oversized cargo and project cargo in the Port of Constanța. We have a storage capacity of 8,000 sqm on a concrete platform with a capacity of 15 tons/ sqm and equipment with a lifting capacity of units of up to 180 tons.

 

 

For handling of project cargo we presently use 2 operational berths with a water depth of up to 13.5 meters.

Optimal solutions for handling and storage of oversized cargo/ project cargo

 
Currently, regardless of the particularities and challenges related to the storage and handling of oversized cargo, our team has the experience and determination to find the most suitable solutions.
 
 
In recent years, we have been involved in various special projects, operating: wind mill components, tanks/ boilers, bridges, cranes and factory components, transformers, drilling equipment, wagons, locomotives, buses, boats.

The storage platform on berth 39 (mainly used for the operation of ships with equipment) has an area of 16,000 square meters and it is used for the storage of different lots of cargo, in accordance with the planning taking into account the size of the lot, the specifics of the operation and the storage period.

The mobility of the equipment used for this cargo(Liebherr UMEX cranes, reach stacker loaders) allows the optimal use of the entire platform for storing goods.
If required, oversized cargo can be transported on trucks and stored onto the platform of berth 44 and in other UMEX locations.
